Had a great Orange County western themed portraits with Kellie from Huntington Beach. Kellie saw some of our other tall grass portraits in Orange County and wanted to do the same for her modeling portfolio. It’s beginning to be a trend for us to take portraits in tall grass open fields in Orange County, we’re getting pretty familiar with them. I was able to try out some new lighting equipment and the results were great. I got a new flash controller so I didn’t have to walk over to adjust the off camera flash which saved a lot of time. The majority of the photos were directly into the sun to give Kellie and the images somewhat of a glowing sunny look and then the flash overpowered the shadows to balance out the light. Kellie wanted to start her photo shoot with a cowgirl theme and then changed outfits to a sundress for a little more of a fun look. We did a wide variety of on location Orange County headshots and full length portraits.

Here’s our latest Orange County portrait photography session with Drue from Tustin. Drue wanted to expand her modeling portfolio by adding some outdoor portraits with a slightly western theme. We found a beautiful portrait location at an Orange County park. The day was perfect for portrait photography. The clouds in the sky were able to add some texture to the colors of the sunset to give the portraits a nice background. Our new lighting equipment gave us some flexibility to make the sunset colors in the sky much more deeper and varied and allowed us to keep shooting a little bit longer after sunset. The grassy field had a variety of spots to give some variation in the scenery for the portraits. We look forward to doing more Orange County portrait photography here with others in the future!
